Character Education

To guide our students to be responsible and respectful citizens both in and out of school, Delwood School focuses on character education throughout the year. Our Character Education program encourages the development of positive character traits that guide our students to be caring and responsible members of society.

During 2 month cycles, students will learn about and practice specific character traits with the goal of internalizing them into their daily actions.

The Character Education focus will be on the following traits:

• kindness
• respect
• self-control/self-discipline
• hard work
• dependability/trustworthiness
